W. Steve Albrecht was born and raised in Bicknell.  After high school he moved away for 52 years to attend college and graduate school, become a CPA, CIA and CFE, and to teach at the University of Illinois, Stanford University, and BYU.  While a professor, he consulted extensively and served on several corporate boards of directors.  He is married to the former LeAnn Christiansen from Waukesha, Wisconsin and they are the parents of 6 children, 5 sons and 1 daughter.  Together, Steve & LeAnn, with the help of a committee of Bicknell residents, planned, raised the money, and oversaw the building of the Bicknell Veteran's & Heritage Memorial.  Steve and LeAnn served as leaders of the Japan Tokyo Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
